Q.  How can I check for availability?

Q.  How many persons can the maisonette accommodate?
A. 
The master bedroom has a king-size bed to accommodate 2 persons. There is a double bed sofa in the living room and an additional single bed can be added to accommodate a maximum of 5 persons.


Q.  Do you discount your rates? 
A.  
No. Our rates remain the same regardless as to season or duration of stay. We already offer outstanding value for money 


Q.  Does the apartment have a telephone?
A. 
For guests requiring a telephone, we can provide a prepaid Nokia mobile telephone at a charge of  5 per day, plus a refundable deposit of  50 against loss or damage to the telephone and/or charger. Prepaid cards of various denominations can be purchased at all major supermarkets, garages and newsagents.


Q.  What is required to make use of the apartment's wireless Internet facilities?
A. 
You should have a PDA or laptop computer with a wireless LAN PC Card. If you do not have such a card, we can provide a professional Intel card at a charge of 5 per day, plus a refundable deposit of  100 against loss or damage to the card. For optimal configuration, your equipment should be running under Windows XP.


Q.  Is the apartment smoker friendly?

Q.  Are pets allowed?
A.  Pets are allowed provided well house-trained. There is a charge of 10 Euro per day per pet.


Q.  Do you accept credit cards?
A. 
No, this is a single unit operation and unfortunately it is not feasible for us to accept credit cards. All payments are by cash only, due on arrival.


Q.  How do I obtain directions to get to the maisonette apartment?
A.  Detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment are provided with your confirmation of reservation.


Q.  Are there car parking facilities?
A.
There is metered car parking along the adjoining canals to Reestraat. The closest garaged parking is at Europarking on Marnixstraat, about 10 minutes walking distance. There is free car parking in Amsterdam North.


Q.  What are the standard check-in/check-out times?
A. 
Standard check-in time is from 12 noon onwards. Check-out time is 11 a.m. on the date of departure. Although these are standard times, we do our utmost to be flexible when possible to accommodate early arrivals/late departures, etc.


Q.  Do you have luggage storage facilities?
A. 
Yes, there are secure luggage storage facilities on the premises.


Q.  Can large groups be accommodated?
A. 
By utilising other apartments on the same premises, subject to availability, groups of up to 15 persons can be accommodated. Please bear in mind that the apartments are constantly in demand, therefore arrangements need to be made well in advance.


Q.  Do you have any other apartments?
A. 
Yes, in the same premises as the maisonette apartment, we have a delightful Studio apartment with authentic wooden beams and own en-suite shower and wc. The Studio sleeps up to 4 persons and full details can be found here on our website at www.amsterdamstudio.com
. We also have a spacious 2nd floor apartment which can sleep up to 6 persons, with large living room and dining area, full fitted kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower. Full details are on our website at www.freewebs.com/amsterdamchoice.


Q.  Is the apartment available for business meetings and conferences?
A.  Yes, it is possible to rent the apartment for daytime use only, without sleeping arrangements, for business meetings and conferences for ideally up to 12 persons. The rate is €200 per day, all inclusive. If required, tea, coffee or light beverages can be served on request.


Q. Is the apartment suitable as film location?
A. Yes, the apartment is ideally suited as film location. It has already been utilised for several films and documentaries. There is good all round natural daylight and an ample quantity of power supply sockets. The rate is €300 per day, all inclusive.


Q.  Is the apartment suitable as Press HQ for international press agencies covering news events in the Netherlands?
A.  Due to its superb location and 24 hour wireless Internet access, the apartment is ideal as Press HQ. Telephone landlines can be supplied at short notice against substantial deposit. In-house translation and secretarial services are available.


Q.  What additional extras are available?
A.  We can arrange for cleaners, baby sitters, translators, secretarial services, chauffeurs, security personnel, etc. We also offer the following:

  • Welcome Package consisting of a bottle of house Champagne (rose, brut, sec or demi-sec - subject to availability), freshly cut flowers, a bowl of fruit and a box of hand crafted chocolates. 100 Euro.
  •  Personal Guide and/or Shopping Assistant to help you discover the fascinating city of Amsterdam and to assist you with all your purchases from Dutch cheeses to diamonds. 25 Euro per hour.
  • Private Dining Facilities. Your own personal chef will discuss and prepare the menu of your choice for up to 12 persons in delightful surroundings on the same premises as the apartment. Prices on request.
  • Surprise Packages. We offer a variety of suprise packages to include superb restaurant dining, shows, theatre tickets, etc. These vary in increments of 100 Euro ranging from 100 to 2,500 Euro per person.
